Yep, you read that right! The West Warwick Public Library had a real-live llama visit yesterday. So, of course since I had nothing better to do on a georgous Wednesday morning with three little ones, I went to see him. (Along with my sister-in-law and her two little ones – an 21mo. old and a 4 mo. old). (Yep, I think we were just crazy to try to do that)… Anyhows…
John wasted no time what-so-ever getting up close with the llama
(yes, he had his knees practically underneath the llama.) He absolutely LOVES animals, and he gets SO SO SO excited whenever he sees one, even if its just a cat walking across the street.
Katherine was a little slower to go touch him, but I’m pretty sure the number of kids that were there had something to do with that. (She’s in the pink dress) She kept calling it a camel.
This is Aunty Cici’s hand on the top, trying to interest the baby. John of course is ready to lead him away.
(Here is the llama… or more accurately, his nose)
Even though someone’s arm (?) got into the shot, I like this one.
And here is the group. Again, Katherine is more interested in the kids than the llama.
It was a bit hard to get pictures while trying to 1) watch the kids 2) try NOT to step on other kids while taking pictures and 3) keeping an eye on baby Karl (not pictured, since he spent the entire time in the stroller in the back of the room). As soon as they started talking about the llama (after all that I don’t even remember what they said his/her name was – although I know they mentioned it), all the kids lost interest. So we went upstairs to play, then decided it was too nice of a day (plus everyone was getting ansy again) and we went to the park instead.
All in all, a fun time, but I think next time we’ll just go to a petting zoo with less crowds.
